The Gallery🌸

The idea of real time machine had always fascinated me. I used to wonder, what if all those sci-fi's could possibly turn out to be true! But only until I could find a virtual time machine. It was there, right there in my phone, with an icon of flower (now I guess why) - the Gallery. Last time it could travel me through 4829 moments from past and still collecting. Some were still, some in motion  Some happy, some sad Some moments took me into the ethereal calmness of sky while some dumped me into the grim walls of hospital  It was precisely a collection of events  From early morning yoga to late night novels From postponed lectures to preponed celebrations  From the cry of a newborn to the cremation of dead From the despair of separation to the joys of retrouvailles  Within all these extremities it deciphered the code of life.  Some contained a pride of victory and some taught me a few more lessons:  1. Just like how some blurr photos find a place in th...

Ikigai- book review

Only staying active will make you want to live a hundred years                                 Japanese proverb Talking about Ikigai then it is a word.... a mysterious word which is basically a secret but paradoxically is known by everyone and the difference is made by those who actually follow it. People in Japan believe that everyone has an Ikigai-  that is a reason to jump out the bed each morning. The purpose of your life is to find a purpose And Ikigai is that very purpose of your life.....! This secret is very significant in countries like okinawa which has huge population of centenarians not just living lives beyond hundred years but living healthy lives They have found the purpose and in the pursuit  of fulfilling it they have defined a new age line!!! The basic secret lies in the food they eat ( a huge variety o...

Outliers- book review

"Why do some people achieve so much more than others what factors prove to be so exceptional that turns out to be the milestones?!"       Outliers is about solving this puzzle  It's a frizzling and entertaining book by Malcolm G ladwell, also the writer of yhe book 'Tipping point'.   'Outliers' are people and events whose stories are deeply rooted, then we can perceive.  The book is about sub plots and between the lines of success stories which needs to be accentuated.  From significance of birth date to secrets of remarkable lawyers, this book encapsulates many successful events that wouldn't have really happened in isolation. Why Asians are good at maths? how can cultural legacy can shape a person's life? what separates a good pilot from a bad one? All answers are deciphered in this text  "Intellect and achievement are far from being perfectly correlated" And it proves it well! Success of a person is not completely his own and nor is hi...

Atomic Habits- book review

Habit  /HabIt/ noun.  settled or regular tendency or practice, especially one that is hard to give up and what comes automatically. The best piece of work on the nuances of habit formation "Atomic Habits"  is a self help journal by James Clear; an all time recommendation for those who are hard on habits and also for those who are keen to know about the mechanism of habits and their influence in routine life The book is basically divided into four main parts that are the stages of habit formation. These are described so thoroughly that the process of habit change which is deemed to be so tough is actually made easier for the readers and that they readily try to change themselves to convert their identity to who they really want to be. As the fact is you might want to start an habit by motivation but it will stick to you only if you want it to be a part of your identity. Every chapter talks about a new strategy and the author has mindfully presented a small instance at ...

Animal Farm - book review

"ALL ANIMALS ARE EQUAL BUT SOME ANIMALS ARE MORE EQUAL THAN OTHERS " Written decades before but carry the same sense today ! And its the tragedy of time that everything in the world is susceptible to change yet the corruptible ones remain the same  'Animal Farm' a short allegory and a satire on "leaders" of the age who are upto no good intentions, corrupted and unethical who can easily manipulate brains of innocents and so decietfully enslave them.....!!! Animals of the Manor Farm successfully overthrew the reign of Joan; their master and set themselves free from all the restrictions but little did they had idea about getting into another form of dictatorship! Where they all were freely enslaved  All the other animals of the farm represented the gullible and naive class of people in the society who blindlessly believed their comrade who eventually conspired to become their autocrat  The commandments written in the favor of the Animal Farm where altered to ...

Dear Confidence

Hey there!  Remember me? We had met before, when I was going to lead the parade, then again during the elocution competition and I guess last we met was in december 2021. Today I need you, I need you more than ever, and on the last day maybe more than my best friend- books. Things lately aren't going well. I underwent a diagnosis and was detected a deficiency of resilience, they say I'm suffering through a disease of self doubting. My doctor, Ms. Hope has prescribed me some doses of persistence and faith. But I think you can help me out. Last time I could find you within me but I think you don't live there now. Please do come to visit me, and also bring courage with you, if you can, you both make a good duo! save me this time. Here, I'm waiting for you to greet me like an old friend, and I wish you don't leave me this time. Yours faithfully, Rutuja

To my Unicorn

You are the child inside me  That has not forgotten to smile and has preserved innocence like the most precious of jewels,  You are the child inside me Who knows no regrets and finds no sorrows, who takes up everything playfully as if you are always raring to go  You are the child inside me  Who has known only the love bestowed upon and no slyness  You are the child inside me  Who is not afraid to ask questions which usually people ignore saying it to be a bliss  You are the child inside me  Who will continue to make me realize that good in this world still exists! You are pure and graceful and you give others the light of hope and smile, like a unicorn  It's just that you are real and I'll always have you Love  To the moon and never back!🤍

Reunion

There are some relations you are not born with  But that stays with you until your last breathe  Companion, buddy, we call them in many trends Just for the sake of simplicity I call them a FRIEND!  On every account of your life they hold you tight To battle with you every of your fight They are the one's who holds the last resort With solutions to problem of every sort Talking about school; The days were same but all exciting Though we had tasks to do and incomplete writings Assembly and us had no connection Lectures were all boring but games with an exception Teachers Day, Hyderabad trip, farewell.... These events were wonderful Hence the journey towards end became so beautiful With friends you meet the memories you've had And remember the age when everyone stood equally mad Well gone are are those days but together we are today  With bright future in our eyes and friends of yesterday Time comes and time goes  It's people who stay  To teach you in life a n...

Lessons

She writes  If everyone would have been same  Literature would be a single book of facts and we'd call it an encyclopedia! Following are some lessons I've learnt from the diversity I've met  Pappa- being strong can help you in any situation To be kind is not an option  Dadi - love your family, to any extent, cook for them  Rushabh - don't mess with your mom, learn to unlearn a little, there is literally so much more out there, first attempt is good but you see, it's not important, don't hate anyone for their failures. Just say it out...'I love you' to the ones yoh really love  Maa- Talk. And to a lottt of people, let your absence be felt Meena Bua- family is people, not the house  Kiran bua- work the hardest, and still keep smiling  Rakesh mama- go on a holiday, and learn to enjoy Savita mamisa- Care. You must take it for everyone  Tirtha - laugh first then find a reason. You must never grow up  Sneha didi- life will never be fair, it ha...

Why me?

Why me? A very constant question that we hammer upon ourselves. Every time we are caught in dire straights we look for what wrongs we did and on finding no appropriate answer we tend to blame the factors that may not even share anything in our misfortune! This is the story of a man who tried to find the answer for 'why him?' On detection of blood cancer, the world for him turned upside down. At this age! Just after a year of marriage and that too without being addicted to anything...he asked God 'why me?' But not everyone is as lucky as him to find an answer to this question! One day a doctor who wished to provide him with an answer took him to the cancer ward. There was a fourteen years old boy lying on the bed with brain tumuor on third stage, his father a poor farmer, sat beside him unaware of the fact that his son is going to die....in months or moments. Now think, what could be his fault ? What could be the answer to 'why him?' Then there was an old...

Beauty of Life

Not every life is beautiful  The journey through injuries and scars, ventilators and oxygen masks, ECG and needles....says that! With every drop of saline running down the nerves the body resists but the mind has to stay to accept that...not evey life is beautiful! The sounds of the machines echoing all around and death and pain on the adjacent bed says that...not every life is beautiful! But, Having someone for you to cry for your pain makes the pain beautiful  Having someone for you to ride up all the floors no matter how tough the day has been, makes the waiting beautiful  Having someone to pray for you while you are in operation theatre makes the worst of injury- beautiful!! And, My life is beautiful❤

A promise to the soul

When I am alone and I let my thoughts run wild  I become an explorer  Of the unknowns realms of this soul I speak to it And ask for its wish  And, It asks for detachment from the worldly things  From materiality  From mortality  I promise this to it  But it's rather tough to fulfill You see,  Things could be detached from  You're not born with it  And certainly you can die without it  But relations........ You come with it  And you take them with you  Are these mortals or immortals then?! Uncertain this seems  You know you've met them  But that was another form  Today it is another  Do you detach with it?! I don't know Maybe not  Otherwise, we all wouldn't have met this time  In this way  That our lives became so interconnected  I guess the hint is  You come with them in any form  But if you leave them on a good note  You're probably on the right path  That's also...

Paradox

Where's the mind? It's playing a paradox!  For a moment it is in oasis of confidence And then suddenly is in the abandoned land of fear  Then for a while it dives in the ocean of faith  And next it moves to the desert of doubt  Sometimes it is in the farms of joy But only to rise up into the clouds of uncertainty  Then what's real, if the mind is everywhere? ~ the myth  Because whatever exist, exists in mind!

Blessed

Being blessed with a charmed life I feel to be so poor! I see the wrong but have no power to change  I feel hurt but am not taught for revenge  I see people suffer around  But there's no answer to it that I had found  Old age homes are on all time rise  For this their child shall pay a price Kids are dying of no food to eat  And yet here, we dine, eat, waste and repeat  Waste waste everywhere  Nor a place without plastic "The best of the innovations turned into a tragedy"  Isn't it sarcastic?! Peace is something that comes at a cost And so in this world of chaos we all are lost It's memories and karma you c/f every birth Everything else is just the part of this earth  Money is power and power is all Since ages; in this trench together we fall Get your dictionary and ammend the meanings  Not money but people are the true earnings  To be kind should not be a choice Help them once, and He shall save you twice  Let's be human ...

Aaj khud ka khud hi se jung hoga Par jeet.....woh kisi ki nahi Kyu ki haarna toh mera taiy hoga Khud ki kamzoriyon se ladne me Roz khud ko samjhane me Kal ke darr ko mitane me Kal ka samna karne me  Jo himmat lagti hai woh tut rahi hai Khush rehne ki aadat bhi ab chut rahi  Maana ki mushkilo se hi safar ki pehchan hai Aur darr ke bina har manzil aasan hai Maana ki thak kar rukna kamzori hai Aur chalte rehna jaruri hai Par din bhar ki thakan me  Ab dard bhi mehmaan hai  Darr se toh phir bhi ladh lungi  Par isse ladna kaha aasan hai Khud hi ki khamoshiyon se sawal puch rahi hu Akhir kyu me itna sab seh rahi hu Shayad usse bhi yeh dard dekha nahi gaya  Toh aaj khamoshi ne hi palatkar jawab de diya "Bin bandhya na bhugatiye  Bin bhugatya na chudaye  Aap hi karta aap hi bhogta  Aap hi door karaye" Baacho ko sikhakar aaj khud hi bhul gayi  Karm ki prakriti ko  Iss baar me bhi nahi samajh payi  Karm tha woh kal tha Parinam uska aaj h...

A Battle with the Destiny

With thousands of words spilled on the sheets, she writes to me her story, All I saw of her were some sleepless nights  After withstanding hundreds of fights  And at the dawn she could finally hit the hay  But still just couldn't call it a day Also I saw some tears being shed But she was careful for some smiles to be shared  Moments of peace were left for tomorrow and all hustle was being taken for today,   She kept her nose to the grindstone to bring out the best everyday The start of the story pretty jovial As if it was a fantasy in a novel She danced, she painted, she wrote so elegantly  All the words; she structured them so beautifully Even for her melody, it knew no sorrows  Alas! But all the pleasure, she didn't know would not last until tomorrow  Her life was not a plain sailing  Now it was her destiny that was playing  It presented her with a bizarre puzzle  Solving which, could end all her trouble  She got the bal...

I'm Alive

Yes, I'm not keen on what I wear Nor I'm concerned to have slick hair I do hate applying those nail polish  Cause to me it's not important to look stylish  I know I'm not up to date with the prevalent vouge  But thankfully, atleast to myself, I'm not a rouge  For anyone's attention, at the cost of identify, now I no more strive  Look at me, I'm still alive  Simplicity is the gift that I've received from nature This exquisite blessing for any creature  For this I don't need to pretend what I'm not And to change for others is the most wicked thought  Stand tall by your character and not your heels  Yet stay grounded to see how it feels  Don't judge a book by its cover  Because I'm not defined by my makeover!! Of beauty if you ask me! It's a thing that reflects from deep within  It's something more than just the colour of your skin It's the song of soul and magic of mind To witness which you have to be a bit kind!

Nature

She is the blood that flows through your veins The tiniest drop of water; when it rains Her allure has unfurled all around She is the best piece of art ever found She is like a child's smile The light in the darkest mile For every trouble she has a cure She is the best doctor; for sure She rise as high as the tallest mountain She sinks below deepest terrain At times she is as furious as a squall Yet, she is benevolent to all She is divine Like the silence of a deep ravine She is subtle and serene Her laws are Supreme By the force of whom the world drives I owe to her all my life As holy as a sacred verse She is the mother of this universe

End of the end

At the end of the day....................... With a cup of coffee in the left hand  And a book in the right I want to wave off  This ceaseless fight. I want to learn  From the mistakes I've made And say sorry  For all wrong that I've said. To the world, and to me I want to be a bit more kind  For I've known this; as the only medicine  For the restless mind. Be it the world where I roam  At the end, I want it to be my home  Here, peace is what my soul attends  Like a savior for life; when it stands at a dead end There I want to stay in my grandma's arm With no future thought, no morning alarm  I want to listen to her age old stories  The way a girl listen to tale of fairies  For the field day I've spent, I want to be grateful  And pray for another day just as beautiful At the end, satisfaction is what I'll look for  Cause for satisfaction there's no Or!!!

Verbs

Life is a composition of verbs We learn We try We smile We cry We come We read  We follow sometimes We lead We give We take We heal  We break  We build  We grow We reap what  We sow We breathe  We fly This is how we live  And this is how we'll die
