Sapiens Book Review

  Only if my passport kept records of all the places I’ve travelled in this book, I would have had to renew it everyday.  Sapiens by Yual Noah Harari isn’t just a book but an entire travelogue starting a few million years back and bringing you to present. From the time when we were foragers to the time we decided to supersede God.  “6 million years ago, a female ape gave birth to two daughters, one became the ancestor of all chimpanzees and the other is our grandmother.” Out so many human species that came into existence, it was only us, sapiens, that made it till date, at least according to replacement theory.  We were different since the beginning. While our evolution was in line with other species our mind was far ahead than anyone. This was cognitive revolution that makes the first part of the book followed by agricultural revolution that made our ancient foragers- farmers. HOPE - Hold On Pain Ends

“The first thing we ever search for  And the last thing ever lost  HOPE is a blessing in disguise Says a piece of wisdom by a wise.” HOPE this finds you in good spirits.  So this was it!  What was administered before the actual doses of medicine at 7 in the morning- this very thing itself ‘HOPE’ that came sweetly enveloped in the smiles of nurses and doctors and eventually from everyone who was and wasn’t around, telling me to hold on for a while and the pain shall cease.   Prayers aren’t answered unless the recipient is willing to believe in the power of miracles and go beyond what is seemingly possible, beyond what science can explain. I HOPE all their prayers are answered for the object in their prayers need a great deal of strength.  Undoubtedly there exists a relationship between our nervous system and mind. What you want for yourself shall happen, provided exteriorities work well, because rest everything is directed by the mind.  Now ask me ...
